We’ve got a short 31/2 weeks to go until due date and I fear I’m falling behind on every task. We are busy getting the baby room ready, the house organized, the yard/garden ready for winter and our minds ready for the changes that are about to come.
It’s been busy in our house the last few weeks:
Then this past week William had an unfortunate fall on the playground at daycare that ended with three stitches to his eyelid. It was traumatic to say the least. I think both Brandon and I were on the verge of tears the entire time they were holding him down and stitching. Hearing your baby scream in pain is the most painful thing I can imagine. But he was a trooper and I was so proud of how well he handled it. He’s definitely a rough and tumble boy and I’m sure this is only the beginning….Thank goodness for a Popsicle to distract!
It’s been a hassle keeping his long hair out of the stitched area, and on Friday when I picked him up from daycare they had put two hair pins in his hair….this was the sign I needed to give him a haircut. I’ve really put it off because I love his long hair AND it keeps him looking like my baby. But the time had come to let the boy see! He looks so grown up to me now…I think it will be awhile before he gets another haircut!
