It has occurred to me that I really haven’t said much about this pregnancy, other than the announcement. With William we were focused on documenting my pregnancy from the beginning because it had felt like such a long time coming. This pregnancy is obviously different but equally exciting. I’m not pouring over all the books or researching the latest products. This time around is relaxed and honestly, quite easy. I know what to expect as long as we both stay healthy and on track. We did make the switch from our previous doctor and hospital to the midwives at MCV. This decision comes out of the desire to ensure the same, if not a better, birth experience we had with William.
For now all I have is a crappy iPhone picture of my burgeoning bump. In truth, that bump has extended a bit in the last week but this at least gives a starting point to documenting baby #2. Unlike with William whereas I didn’t feel any movement until at least 20 weeks – here at 17 weeks I have been feeling quite a few bumps and kicks. The movement really picks up when I’m rocking William which I take as a sign of the future feuding between close siblings.
