Like most people, Kendall is not overly enthused about having a camera drawn inches from her person without fair warning. I like to consider myself something of a shutterbug, so the camera can sometimes be a slight source of friction once I start waving it around. I try to be empathetic, but I’m just so curious as to how that white balance tweak, or that dialing in of the f-stops are going to look on the 12th shot compared to the 3rd.
When it came time to start documenting our little nugget, I’m sure my eyes took on that familiar crazed look when they’re full of potential lighting scenarios and compositions. And I’m pretty sure she didn’t want to stand around waiting for me to take a hundred pictures, because she told me, “I don’t want to stand around waiting for you to take a hundred pictures.”
So I backed off. Once I was a safe distance away (at work), Kendall started documenting on her own.
Here we are at week ten. Just a little bump. Could easily pass for the result of a hearty steak dinner. It was difficult for me to notice the bump at this stage because other parts or her outline where expanding at a much faster rate.
Twelve weeks. There is definitely a little us in there!
Fourteen weeks. It is amazing to see how much can change in just two weeks. The nugget is right around the size of a lime at this stage. Or maybe an avocado. Definitely a delicious fruit.
Eighteen weeks! We are at sweet potato size! Kendall is surprised that I find pregnancy so attractive, but look at her! Look at that glow!
The excitement at this point is growing just as fast too. It’s amazing to think that we’ll soon be parents. And in just a couple of weeks we’ll know if we’re parents of a son or daughter. I’m so excited. I’m also excited to have the camera back.
